IDF Thwarts Terror Attack in Northern Gaza Strip
Since the beginning of 2010, an average of one event every three days has been recorded near the security fence surrounding the Gaza Strip

Overnight, an IDF force identified a number of armed Palestinians near the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip. An IAF aircraft, accompanied by IDF ground forces with tank shells, fired toward the militants, identifying a hit. No casualties were caused amongst IDF forces.

Since the beginning of 2010, approximately 100 different terror-related incidents took place near the security fence surrounding the Gaza Strip, averaging an event every three days.

The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it. The IDF will also continue to respond harshly to any attempt to use terror against the State of Israel.
