Four Qassam rockets were fired on Friday afternoon at Sderot and its area. One rocket fell near Sapir College, and Magen David Adom (MDA) evacuated a number of people who suffered from shock. The building was also damaged. A second rocket landed in Sderot, and a third landed in open spaces. The fourth rocket has not yet been found. It apparently landed in Shaar HaNegev Regional Council. The rocket that landed in Sderot caused a 50-year old man to be injured by falling as he ran for cover.
His neighbor, Absalom Ben Zaken, eulogized Rosenberg and said, "You were a wonderful neighbor, always there to help me in times of need. Not everyone peered into your chest, but I did, and I discovered a big heart that I loved, and still love… I will miss you my friend."
