According to the Jerusalem Post, Israel believes Iran sanctions may be losing momentum. I beg to differ.
Just yesterday, Asaf Romirowsky wrote a piece in the Jewish Exponent, Nathan Guttman also wrote in the Forward, and Stanley Weiss had a piece in the IHT. All on Iran divestment. There was also this ray of hope in the London Times citing public outcry over a Shell oil company project with Iran.
Barack Obama even issued a press release about the issue yesterday. One of his press people emailed me, citing the article Howard Slugh and I wrote for the Baltimore Sun. The Obama release was clearly an attempt at damage control after his gaff about engaging with Iran. Still, support for divestment is helpful, no matter where it comes from.
