In Response to Rocket Fire, IAF Targets Terror Sites in the Gaza Strip

Overnight, IAF aircraft targeted a terror tunnel in the northern Gaza Strip and two terror activity sites in the central Gaza Strip. Direct hits were confirmed and secondary blasts were identified in targeting the terror tunnel.

The terror tunnel was intended to be used by terrorists to infiltrate into Israel and to execute terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.

The targeting of the sites was in response to yesterday's rocket fire into Israeli territory.

The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians or IDF soldiers, and will continue to respond to anyone who utilizes terror against Israel. The IDF holds the Hamas terrorist organization solely responsible for maintaining the calm in the Gaza Strip and for any terrorist activity emanating from it.
