Unknown military faction fires projectile at Sderot

GAZA (Ma'an) -- A previously unknown armed faction announced Thursday that it had fired a homemade projectile at the Israeli city of Sderot from the Gaza Strip.

The faction calls itself "Sarayah Palestine", a statement received by Ma'an said.

It launched the projectile at 7.00 a.m Thursday.

The attack was in response to Israeli aggression and threats against the Palestinian people, the statement added.
