The Gaza groups may have declared a ceasefire, but the fire emanating from the Strip continues: The Iron Dome battery stationed near Beersheba intercepted a Grad rocket fired at the Hazerim area. The rocket landed in an open area, causing no harm. The Color Red alert sounded in the area beforehand. The al-Tawhid wal-Jihad group, a radical, Gaza-based jihadist group affiliated with al-Qaeda, has claimed responsibility for the fire. On Saturday, a Qassam rocket fired from northern Gaza landed in an open area in Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported. Friday also saw rocket fire at southern Israel: Two Qassam rockets exploded in open areas in Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, and a short rocket was fired at Ashkelon.Related Topics: Palestinian Rockets | Shmulik Hadad receive the latest by email: subscribe to the free jewish policy center mailing list Comment on this item
