The Home Front Command is conducting a test on Sunday (January 1) of a text message system that will warn residents of incoming missiles and rockets. The system will provide warnings in real time according to location. Sunday's test is being conducted in the central part of the country. Under the system, messages will be sent in four languages: Hebrew, Arabic, English and Russian. The system was first tested during the "Turning Point 5" civil defense drill, during which alerts were sent to a number of localities in Israel.
