A Kassam rocket landed in the western Negev Wednesday evening, near a greenhouse of one of the Gaza periphery kibbutzim.
No damage or casualties were reported.
On Saturday, during clashes between Hamas gunmen and members of the Fatah-linked Hilles clan, several mortar shells were fired into Israel. While security officials assessed the shells were directed against the Hilles clan, they also warned that power struggles within Gaza could easily spill over into Israel.
The Kassam fired Wednesday was not the first instance of Hamas breaking the ceasefire with Israel, but violations have been few and far between.
Defense officials have warned that Israel would response forcefully to any violation on the Palestinian side.
Since the ceasefire went into effect, Hamas has arrested rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip.
