Shoshana Bryen on Secure Freedom Radio discussed Sen. Mark Kirk's amendment to the Senate Appropriations Bill dealing with counting Palestinian refugees. The Kirk Amendment requires that the State Department provide Congress with the number of original Palestinian refugees and the number of their descendents being housed in UNRWA refugee camps. Bryen explained the role of UNRWA and the Arab States in creating an intergenerational refugee problem and the implications for a) a resolution of the refugee problem and b) American taxpayers who pay 1/3 of UNRWA's costs.
