Yediot Ahronot correspondent Matan Tzuri reports in today's edition that last week, for the first time, a Qassam rocket fired from the Gaza Strip hit that yard of a "sensitive security facility that is not fortified in the Gaza envelope area. At the time the place was empty and no one was hurt, but damage was done to sensitive equipment by the shrapnel. As a result of the damage, the place was closed down for several days for repairs. This was the first time since the start of the Qassam attacks that such a security facility was hit so hard that operation was interrupted and equipment was damaged. Security sources in the South said that the fire was apparently not directed to hit the facility but instead Israel communities. In the meantime the equipment has been repaired and it has returned to operation.
