Central Elections Commission meets Gaza officials

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A Central Elections Commission delegation on Tuesday handed a copy of the updated voter registry to the government in Gaza.
Commissioners met with Ziyad al-Thatha, Hamas' deputy prime minister, and updated him on elections preparations, the CEC said in a statement.
The delegation thanked the Hamas government for facilitating the commission's work to update the voter registry in Gaza in February.
The group also gave faction representatives in Gaza copies of the updated register.
On Monday, the head of the Central Elections Commission handed the updated voter registry to representatives of political parties in the West Bank.
At CEC headquarters in Ramallah, Hanna Nasir briefed faction representatives on the completion of the voter registry and said the commission was fully prepared for elections.
