A "Grad" missile fired from Gaza Strip hit a building in Ashkelon, southern Israel, on Saturday, sparking a fire and causing havoc among the residents.
According to an Israeli army spokesman, the missile caused damage to the building, but there were no casualties.
Responsibility for this attack was claimed by Ezzidin Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, which said that this was in retaliation for the Israeli massacre in Gaza.
It said the violence in Gaza had so far claimed the lives of more than 435 Palestinians and wounded hundreds of others, adding that Israel had "opened the gates of hell" by waging this attack.
Meanwhile, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, claimed responsibility for firing two locally-made "Quds" missiles at the southern Israeli town of Eshkol.
