Hamas Rocket Destroys Netivot House

Palestinian groups have intensified rocket attacks on Israeli cities and towns, destroying a house in the city of Netivot.

Rockets hit Netivot, Eshkol and Sha'ar Hanegev on Saturday evening amid the nonstop Israeli air raids and shelling of the Gaza Strip.

A rocket struck a house in Netivot causing the collapse of the building and injuring one person.

Palestinian groups launched at least 31 rockets toward Israeli targets on Saturday.

The northern Negev town of Kiryat Malachi was also hit in Saturday's attacks.

Israel started shelling the Gaza Strip on Saturday afternoon for the first time since it launched Operation Cast Lead against Gaza.

Earlier on Saturday, Israeli warplanes bombed a main bridge close to Gaza City in an apparent move to divide the populated region ahead of a ground incursion.
