Pregnant Woman Hospitalized as Rocket Hits Home in Ashkelon

Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip on Friday fired over 15 rockets at southern Israel Friday, leaving five Israelis wounded.
A pregnant woman was hospitalized in Ashkelon after her home suffered a direct him from a rocket, while two Israelis were wounded in Ashdod - one moderately and the other lightly.
Earlier on Friday, three Israelis sustained light wounds when two grad rockets struck the southern town of Kiryat Gat.
Another rocket struck the Ashdod area, inflicting damage to a building, while five rockets exploded in the Eshkol region Friday morning.
Two of the rockets that exploded in Eshkol landed in fields and another struck an agricultural structure, just minutes after workers finished their breakfast and exited the building.
There were no casualties in the strike, but the agricultural structure sustained severe damage.
Overall, more than 15 rockets struck southern Israel on Friday, the 21st day of the Israel Defense Forces operation in the Gaza Strip.
Two rockets fired by Gaza militants on Thursday hit Be'er Sheva, wounding five people, including a 7-year-old boy who sustained critical head wounds. One of the rockets struck a car.
The Be'er Sheva boy has undergone extensive surgery and is in stable condition, doctors said, though he is still being closely monitored.
A spokesman for the Magen David Adom emergency services said two people were seriously hurt and two were moderately wounded in the attack.
The IAF earlier Thursday shot down a Qassam rocket launched into Israel by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip.
Shortly before 8 A.M., an Israeli jet fired on a rocket launching squad and intercepted a rocket, causing it to explode.
Eyewitnesses in the Kfar Aza area in the western Negev reported seeing the mid-air collision.
Gaza militants on Thursday fired a barrage of some 24 rockets at Israel, one of which exploded in the south central city of Gedera. Fifteen rockets alone struck the region between 7 and 8 A.M.
Two of the rockets exploded near Ofakim, causing no casualties. Another seven rockets hit the western Negev city of Sderot, with one exploding in the yard of a house. There were no casualties in the incident, though the house was severely damaged.
