Air raid sirens were sounded in northern Israel on Sunday morning, indicating that rockets might have been fired at the area, local news service Ynet reported.
The alarm went off in the Israel-Lebanon border town of Kiryat Shmona and nearby communities, yet it is still unclear whether rocket attacks had indeed taken place, according to the report.
Earlier this year, northern Israel was pounded by several rockets fired from southern Lebanon, leaving three Israelis wounded. The army suspected that the attacks were carried out by Palestinian militants in Lebanon in retaliation for Israel's military operation in the Gaza Strip.
