Report: Israel Relayed Message to Hamas that it would Respond to Rocket Fire

The London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Hayat reported that Egypt had conveyed a message from the Israeli government to Hamas leaders in Gaza recently that Israel would respond with force if the firing of rockets from the Strip were not halted.

Palestinian sources told the paper that Hamas had conveyed the message to the other Palestinian factions.
