Michael O'Hanlon and Kenneth Pollack, analysts at the left-leaning Brookings Institution, declared in the New York Times this week that Iraq is "A War We Just Might Win." They believe the US and Iraqi armies, thanks to the surge, have turned a corner.
Celebrated author Michael Barone wrote this piece in US News and World Report, asserting that recent progress could shift public opinion in a positive direction.
Pulitzer Prize winner John Burns sees signs of progress from the surge and warns that withdrawal would lead to an Iraqi civil war.
Even Canadians believe that leaving Iraq is wrong.
