The Palestinian Maan News Agency reports that the leader of the Hamas Executive Force admits to the use of torture and violence.
Jamal Jarrah admitted that torture occurs in Hamas prisons, but that the Executive Force is tyring "to minimize violations and avoid them through the training of our members."
Jarrah denied reports that there are 120 Fatah members in Hamas jails. He said "there are no Fatah prisoners, and if there are, they are there for criminal reasons and not on a political background." Violence against Fatah for political reasons has been documented at length, however.
