AQ Claims Gaza Attack

Militants from a previously unknown group linked to al-Qaeda ransacked a private school in the northern Gaza Strip, AFP reported.
A statement signed by the "Army of Believers, al-Qaeda in Palestine Organization" was left at the American International School after an attack that left five buses and a car in flames.
"Polytheists and enemies of Islam are pursuing each day their work to destroy our youths, who are falling by the dozens into the swamps of vice and moral decadence," read a statement from the group.
The attack again raises the question of the extent to which al-Qaeda has infiltrated the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Read this piece in the summer issue of inFocus Quarterly
for an in-depth exploration of the subject.
