Sheik Muhammad Taqi Usmani, a controversial mufti who advised the Dow Jones Islamic Market Index, was removed from the Dow Jones website, Frontpage reports. Usmani’s bio and photo vanished without explanation, and all references to Dow Jones disappeared from the website of the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which runs a sharia-compliant mutual fund in Illinois.

JPC readers first learned of Usmani in an article by Christopher Holton, “Fighting Jihad on Wall Street,” which appeared in the most recent inFOCUS Quarterly.
