Jeffrey Altman - Biography

General Counsel

Mr. Altman is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP . He joined the law firm in 1974 immediately after graduating from law school and became a partner in 1980.

Mr. Altman heads the law firm’s practice in representing trade associations, foundations, political organizations, professional membership societies, and other nonprofit entities. He also serves as a board member and volunteer leader for many such organizations.

Mr. Altman received his J.D. in 1974 from Tulane University, where he was associate editor of the Tulane Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. He is active and holds leadership positions in a number of professional organizations.
