Ghailani was not acquitted, a point that you do not emphasize. He'll be serving twenty years, maybe life. And there is no reason to assume he would have been convicted of all counts had the trial taken place in Gitmo. Some evidence was tainted and inadmissible by American judicial standards. Even so, let's not minimize this verdict.
