Over the years I have come to consider Professor Kenneth Stein as one of the most astute observer of Middle Eastern affairs. His advice to the next president once again testifies to his grasp, understanding and above all his realization that there are many ingredients that go into creating a new framework for negotiations between Israel and its neighbours.

Anything he writes derseves deep respect and a new president, whether Obama or McCain, would be well advised to include him on his new Middle East team.
