Reader comment on: Palestine Divided

Submitted by Samuel Lasker, Jan 15, 2009 05:45

Can some expert somewhere tell me how many Fatah members, who were ostensibly the government in Gaza before Hamas, were thrown off buildings, were assassinated and expelled from the territory? Secondly, why are Arab nations, organisations, etc, so divided in what they actually hope to achieve concerning a ceasefire in Gaza?

The answer seems simple. Sunnis & Shias kill each other every day in Iraq, Afghanistan & Pakistan. Yet, one doesn't see demonstrations against these atrocities in the fascist Islamic world -- in countries such as Turkey, Iran, Libya, Egypt, Somalia, Iraq, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia ,the Gulf States, and so on.

Thirdly Chris Gunness, the head UN honcho in Gaza, makes inflammatory statements concerning Israeli warheads etc, He seems to know the difference between phosphorous and other types of explosives. So does he have military experience? If if so ,how and where did he acquire the expertise to differentiate?
