Reader comment on: Palestinian Statehood and Middle East Unrest

Submitted by Mitch Reed (United States), Sep 21, 2011 21:23

Clearly this man is an honest broker, or at least his perspective seems balanced and comprehensive in nature to come to some of the outcomes he has put forward...his candor seems to ring genuine.

That being said, it seems to me that at best, things continue to go nowhere in as much as a tangible peace agreement between the two parties. At worst, well, we don't even want to talk about that, do we?

The clear efforts by our American left to constantly vilify Israel is also a real concern, as it is a clear attempt to deligitimize Israel's right to exist as a sovernign Jewish state with defensible borders, while indirectly it also supports the goals of the radical elements within the PA. The results of all of this can't spell peaceful days ahead for Israel, anyway you slice it.

Israel needs to prepare now for all-out-warfare, and if deemed necessary, to also become proactive rather than strictly reactive in dealing with its outspoken enemies. As I've written in my book about Radical Islam; O.O.O. Obsessing On Obsession...the documentary, Israel's enemies' threats have to be taken seriously. Therefore, any enemy of Israel that has verbalized (more than once) a willingness to 'wipe Israel off the map', should be subject to such 'proactive' potential solutions...before it's too late. While those enemies remain non-nuclear players, Israel is in the strongest position...once they become nuclear, there can be no peace without the potential of nuclear annilation of one party or the other, first.

Jerusalem is G_d's city, therefore it should not be devided. Only the Israelis have proven to be good stewards and caretakers of Jerusalem...just ask the Arabs (not the Israelis) that live in Jerusalem today since 1967, who'd they like to see overseeing Jerusalem in the future...the vast majority of them will tell you the Israelis, not the Palestinians! This is fact, so confirm it on snopes or wherever, but remember this:

Prior to the 1967 Six-day war, the Arabs controlled Jerusalem. The only persons permitted free reign entry into the city were the Arabs. The wailing wall was closed off to the Jews for prayer, while Christians were restricted as well. Ask the historians and they will tell you candidly, it was a wholly unacceptable travesty in such a biblical and devine city that is birthplace and home to the three great religions!

The American left's claims Israel to be an Apartheid nation. This claim is utter garbage...total and complete lies, and this argument of 'occupation' doesn't hold water either under many international laws and precepts.

The Western world is on the pricipice of a Holy War with global significance, in a continuation of a thirteen-hundred- year-old battle of biblical proportions. Call it what you will, it seems clear we are nearing the end of days.

As the bible attests, it will again concern Israel..."but it never ends with the Jews". -Obession...the documentary, 2006.
