I have been to this training site in the Negev Desert of Israel. It is very impressive. It was built with US dollars as part of our billions of dollars of annual military aid to Israel. The US Corps of Engineers oversaw its construction. I think the media should be more pro-active in writing about how our foreign aid money gets spent, whether to Israel or other countries. That would yield a better informed electorate. Also, I am not sure how the arab or Palestinian community feels about the training site. They probably are little aware of its existence.
