Russia and Syria

Reader comment on: Russia Supports its Ally Syria: You Got a Problem with That?

Submitted by samuel (South Africa), Feb 6, 2012 03:17

So once again the UNSC has proved how inept and ludicrous it,s function as the world,s problem solver it has become ,with Muslims dying in their thousands mainly in Syria and the Russians and Chinese vetoeing any attemp ts get rid of Bashar al-Assad,but why is Putin and his Chinese counterpart in the Chinese Communist Party so anti Syrian sanctions when the majority of civilsed mainly Western states are for ever increasing Syrian sanctions;it couldn,t possibly an ice-free Syrian port called Tarsous that the Russian desperately need for supply ing their weapons to the Assad regime and away from the prying eyes of NATO,the US ,the EU ,hypocrisy and sheer lunacy rears it,s ugly head ,but what,s new at the UN in New York City?
