Peace in the Middle East is an illusion!

Reader comment on: No More 'Peace Talks,' Please

Submitted by voxpop4 (United States), Feb 6, 2012 09:19

Ever since the Arab states got their "freedom" from Colonialism of Europe there has been no Peace! They (Arab States) have concentrated not on making life better for their fellow citizens but arming their military for war against Israel. 22 Arab states voted in the UN (1947) for a resolution for 2 states,,one Arab, one Jewish. They voted against the resolution and lost! So what did they do.. go to war! And have been at it ever since. Only after three wars did Egypt and Jordan have a decent "cease fire" agreement! Now with this Arab Spring..who even knows what will evolve? A question beats in my mind..do these Muslim Nations really understand what Peace really means?
