I appreciate the well-reasoned recommendation of this article. America should indeed demonstrate restraint and leadership when dealing with Islamic-oriented governments----rather than abdicate its influential role internationally, recoil from supporting dissidents in dictatorial regimes, and fail to protect its own citizens.
