Reader comment on: Syria and the Palestinian Refugee Problem

Submitted by Samuel, Apr 22, 2009 06:20

So Syria has been implicated in the so called Palestinian refugee .Well what took so long to air this myth ? Syria has and will continue to meddle in and confuse politics in the Middle East ,but at what cost? For to long the previous dictator and now his son (the Assads) have tried to portray themselves as the new Arab leader /liberator and try to diminish Israel and her existence .Well it won,t succeed as the world has moved on and Syria is left to sort her own internal and external issues. Why the secular/marxist leader ship of Syria wants to get involved with the fanatically religious etremely anti -semitic Iranian Shias is rather strange .The only conclusion one can draw is that Bashir Assad ,like his late father likes to portray himself as this great liberator of Palestinian etc. What does the Syrian hierarchy ,like it,s fellow Arabs ,actually care about refugees who have been wallowing in self pity/angst for more than 60 years ?After all Israel and Zionism is just an excuse for Islam to carry out barbaric massacres against Jews and infidels worldwide .Why carry out murderous attacks against Sri Lankan cricket players in Pakistan ,what,s the ultimate goal ?
