dictatorial Assad

Reader comment on: Letter From the Publisher: Can Syria Change?

Submitted by Samuel, May 5, 2009 13:04

The leader of Syria Bashar Al Assad will never give up his grip on his country and therefore be open to non -Arab negotiations as it doesn,t suit his style. It,s nice acting tough and seeming to stand up to Israel as it enhances his reputation in the Arab world .However ,like Saddam Hussein ,Yassir Arafat and other so called Arab liberators it,s only a charade that won,t work in reality ,actually it only seems to appease certain people ,but these people don,t matter in the real world,so time will deliver it,s answer soon .
