Thank you for the link to my post. I blogged on a very narrow topic, which was the various responses to my own question. I'm not sure, therefore, that my post made clear that the entire evening was an intellectual delight. Each of the speakers -- unsurprisingly -- was informed, articulate, marvelously opinionated and extremely logical, moral and lucid. Small wonder, then, that the audience was attentive, engaged and enthusiastic. This was my first JPC event but it almost certainly won't be my last.
