As an American Jew, it is often hard to understand how Israel ends up negotiating with Hamas or Fatah to exchange hundreds of Palestinian prisoners for a handful of its own soldiers -- alive or dead. But, this interview seems to fully flesh out the strategic thinking and historical policy choices on both sides of the conflict. Thanks for putting the pending Shalit-Hamas deal into context.
