Midge Decter is a journalist and a leader in the American neoconservative movement and former co-chair of the Committee for the Free World. She has worked on important publications such asCommentary Magazine and was senior editor of Harper’s, serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Heritage Foundation, and a Board member of the Center for Security Policy and the Independent Women’s Forum. Ms. Decter has written numerous books and her writing has been published in First Things, The Atlantic, the National Review, The New Republic, The Weekly Standard, and American Spectator.
In 2008, Ms. Decter received the Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom from the Victims of Communism Foundation. She is the mother of journalist John Podhoretz and married to Norman Podhoretz, both also Fellows of the JPC.
