In an era of surging bigotry, Jews are facing increased violence and a movement in which those who have used their platform to stoke widespread anti-Semitism try to evade accountability by redefining the term. This panel will address the Jewish right to define oppression against us by intersectional leaders who do not get to choose between fighting antisemitism and fighting for racial equality, gender justice, and Indigenous rights. In this instructive event, learn the damage done by tokenizing fringe Jewish voices, gaslighting Jews about their own experience, and redefining antisemitism into a hollow distraction, rather than doing the work to fight it.
Speakers include Human Rights Activist Natan Sharansky, U.S. Assistant Special Envoy to Monitor & Combat Anti-Semitism Ellie Cohanim.
