Shelly Kamins is an investor and real estate developer with the Blum, Frank, and Kamins Companies in Maryland. The office buildings constructed by his company, including the largest private development on Capitol Hill, helped change the face of downtown Washington. In the 1990’s, his business focus expanded to include shopping centers in suburban Washington and venture capital investments in diverse business opportunities. He also serves on the Board of Directors for ePhone Telecommunications.
Mr. Kamins holds leadership positions with numerous community organizations. In addition to his work with the Jewish Policy Center, he is Vice-Chairman of the Republican Jewish Coalition, a Board Member of The Washington Committee of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and served on the National Finance Advisory Council of the George and Barbara Bush Endowment for Innovative Cancer Research. He served as a member of the National Finance Committee of George W. Bush for President, was Bush Co-Chairman for Maryland, and recently concluded his term as the National Chairman of the GOPAC.
