Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapon and ballistic missile technology, and support of terrorism around the world, have been much in the news. But at home, the Iranian people suffer grave abuses by their government. Suppression of a popular rebellion resulted in thousands of deaths and the imposition of draconian control measures. International COVID-19 aid has been manipulated to the benefit of the Tehran government and the detriment of the citizens. Most recently, world-class Iranian athletes have been hung by the regime on flimsy charges of supporting revolution.
