Washington, D.C.- The Jewish Policy Center today announced that it will hold its next national policy forum, “The Arab Upheaval: Spring or Winter for America and Israel?” in Chicago on Sunday, October 30, at 7:00 pm.
Moderated by best-selling author and nationally-syndicated radio talk show host Michael Medved, confirmed panelists for the forum include Richard Baehr, co-founder and chief political correspondent for the American Thinker; Caroline Glick, deputy managing editor of The Jerusalem Post and senior fellow for Middle Eastern affairs at the Center for Security Policy; and noted commentator and analyst Cliff May, president of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
“With the Arab uprisings across the Middle East, the region is rapidly changing in ways that the world has not witnessed since the fall of the Ottoman Empire,” said Matthew Brooks, Executive Director of the Jewish Policy Center. “As with most revolutions, the transitions are rarely smooth, posing as many challenges as it does opportunities. Will this so-called ‘Arab Spring’ turn into winter? What does Egypt’s future look like without Hosni Mubarak? What will become of Libya post-Qadhafi? Is the United States doing enough to hasten the fall of the Asad regime in Syria? What does it all mean for American foreign policymakers? And how does it affect Israel and her security? These and many more questions will be explored by our panel of experts as we seek to balance American and Israeli interests amidst the tectonic shifts underway in the Middle East.”
The forum will be held at the Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah located at 3220 Big Tree Lane, Wilmette, IL, 60091.
The event is free to the public but space is limited and registration is required. Please reserve your spot today by clicking HERE, or send an email to email@example.com or call the RSVP hotline at 877-560-8453.
